that Kiss

A couple sat on the couch at the end of a long day. He sat with a smoke in hand and she with a cup of tea. Sitting sideways with her legs curled up to her chest she stared at him and smiled. What on earth has you looking so happy, he asked. That Kiss, was her reply.

A smile lit his face as he remembered the one she was talking about. It had been the MOMENT. The one where he trapped her heart and he had lost his to her. The dinner had been sweet. Full of honest conversation and laughs. More than either of them had known for some time. They had lingered over that table until they had to declare they both had numb asses from the hard chairs. He had sweetly  held her hand on the way to the car. And the energy in that touch had begun a fire in her that she did not want to put out. As he leaned back against her car his arm somehow found its way behind her back and around her waist. They both refused to stop talking for fear they would have to part. But then,,,she turned to look at him and his lips found their way to hers. His hand gently held her face and the world stopped.>A kiss for her was and is the holy grail of life. It is the spark of beginning and the fire that breeds warmth into her soul. And his kiss was magical. It was if she had never been kissed before. And in truth no one had ever kissed her like that. The sweet softness of deeply controlled passion. The want that roared beneath that was painfully being kept in check. From that moment on they had become inseperable. Each day a learning experience, each moment finding their own way.

They were learning, letting go of the past. Coping with old issues and dealing with previous pain. Finding love and trust. Feeding need and desire and want and truth. Every day was filled with those kisses. The ones that stopped her breath and made her knees weak and her head spin. She had found her home, her happiness, her paradise. And she prayed each day that she was his and that she would never awaken from this dream.
